JICA研修員が中央小学校に訪問しました。　JICA Trainees Visit Chuo Elementary School

　こんにちは！国際交流員の佐藤クリスタルです。

　9月12日にJICA研修員6人が中央小学校に訪問し、6年生と国際交流を行いました。研修員はジョージア、ラオス、マラウイ、パキスタン、スリランカ、バングラデシュから来ました。そして、私は通訳として参加しました。

　生徒たちはステージ上で歓迎のあいさつと歌を披露した後、研修員は自己紹介をしました。日本語で頑張った研修員も何人かいました。それから、体育館で「じゃんけん」やフラフープを使った交流ゲームをしました。ゲームが終わり、グループでスクールツアーと交流タイムをしました。生徒たちは折り紙、竹馬、書道、よさこいなど、色々な体験を用意し、研修員は日本の文化を楽しみました。最後に、研修員はパワーポイントを使用し、自分の国を紹介しました。

　JICA研修員との交流を通じて、相互理解が深まりました。こんなに有意義な交流を小学校で行っていることは江別市の魅力的なところの一つだと思います。

  Hello! This is Krystal Sato, Ebetsu City Coordinator for International Relations.

  Six JICA trainees visited Chuo Elementary School on September 12, and enjoyed international exchange activities with the sixth graders. The trainees came from Georgia, Laos, Malawi, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. I participated as an interpreter.

  After the students gave a welcome speech and sang a song on stage, the trainees introduced themselves. Some trainees tried their best to introduce themselves in Japanese. Then, we played "rock paper scissors" and an icebreaking game using a hula hoop in the school gym. After the games, we went on a school tour, and we broke into small groups where the students taught the trainees about Japan. They prepared various activities such as origami, stilts, calligraphy, and yosakoi, and the trainees enjoyed experiencing traditional Japanese culture. Finally, the trainees gave PowerPoint presentations about their countries.

  Mutual understanding between the Japanese students and the JICA trainees has deepened thanks to this exchange. Children in Ebetsu are very fortunate to be able to have such meaningful international exchange in their own city!
