国際交流イベント「みんなおいでよ！2023江別‘世界市民’の集い」　2023 Ebetsu World Fest

江別市国際交流推進協議会が主催する市内で最も規模の大きい国際交流イベント「みんなおいでよ！2023江別‘世界市民’の集い」が令和5年10月15日（日曜日）に野幌公民館で開催されました。平成10（1998）年に始まったこのイベントは、市民と在住外国人の方々とが言葉や国籍などの枠を超え、世界市民として交流し理解を深め合うことを目的として行われています。25回目を迎えた今年は、留学生による民族舞踊や自国紹介をはじめ、中国獅子舞やYOSAKOI演舞、さらには国際交流員と外国語指導助手（ALT）がプロデュースした本格的な欧米風のお化け屋敷などなど、様々な催しで会場は大いに盛り上がりました。今年は、姉妹都市グレシャム市からの訪問団も参加し、着物の着付けや茶道などの日本文化を体験しました。来年の集いも10月開催される予定です。ぜひ、お楽しみに！

The 2023 Ebetsu World Fest was held at the Nopporo Community Center on Sunday, October 15, 2023. The Ebetsu World Fest started in 1998, and is held every year by the Ebetsu Intercultural Exchange Committee. The festival is held with the goal of breaking the barriers of language and nationality, and deepening understanding between Ebetsu citizens and foreign residents. This was the 25th year the festival was held, and there were many exciting events! International students performed folk songs and dances and gave presentations on their home countries. There was a Chinese lion dance performance, a Japanese YOSAKOI dance performance, and an authentic Western-style haunted house produced by the Coordinator for International Relations and Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs). This year, a delegation from our sister city of Gresham, Oregon, joined the festivities, and experienced Japanese culture by wearing kimono and participating in a tea ceremony. The Ebetsu World Fest is held every October, so please look forward to next year's event!
