10月7日（土曜日）に情報図書館で「英語でおはなし会」が開催されました。子どもたち15人が参加しました。

「かがくのせかい展」と同時開催のため、テーマは生物学に関連した「動物」と「蝶々の一生」でした。絵本を2冊読み聞かせました。1冊目は「くまさん くまさん なにみてるの？」でした。子どもたちは英語で動物の名前と色について学びました。2冊目は「はらぺこあおむし」でした。人気の絵本を通して、英語で蝶々の一生について学びました。テーマにちなんだ英語の歌や体を大きく使うゲームも楽しみました。

"English Story Time" was held at the Information Library on Saturday, October 7. Fifteen children participated.

The "World of Science" exhibition was being held at the library at that time, so I read two picture books related to biology. The first book was Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Bill Martin, Jr. and Eric Carle. The children learned about animal names and colors. The second book was The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. Through this popular story, children learned about the lifecycle of a butterfly in English. The children also enjoyed songs and games based on the books.
