今年度、「国際交流員・クリスタルさんが語るアメリカの生活と文化」の出前講座を２回行いました。

So far this year, I have given two presentations about American life and culture.

8月29日　高砂町自治会館　8/29 Takasago Neighborhood Council Meeting Hall

今回は、高齢者クラブでの出前講座でした。アメリカと日本の違いや２０２０年代のアメリカの課題についてお話ししました。皆さんは最後まで真剣にお聞きいただきました。

私が毎月投稿している「国際交流員コーナー」という記事の中で出前講座の内容について掲載していますので、是非お読みください。

I gave my presentation at a club for senior citizens. I talked about the differences between America and Japan, and some of the issues America faces in the 2020s. Everyone listened intently to my presentation until the end.

11月8日　江別高校　定時制　11/8 Ebetsu High School Night Course

今回は、２年生と３年生の計１１名が受講しました。シアトルや国際交流員の仕事について教え、アメリカの高校生活を中心にアメリカと日本の違いについてお話ししました。生徒達は〇☓クイズを楽しみながらアメリカの高校について学ぶことができました。そして、質問タイムに生徒からいくつか質問があり、シアトルや趣味についてより詳しく話すことができました。江別高校の生徒と英語で有意義な交流ができたと感じました。

There was a total of 11 second year and third year high school Night Course students in the class. After teaching the students about Seattle and my job as a CIR, I focused on American high school life and its differences from Japan. Students enjoyed a "true or false" quiz and learned a lot about high school in America. In addition, students asked me some questions after the presenation, and I was able to talk about Seattle and my hobbies in more detail. I felt that the Ebetsu High School Night Course students and I were able to have a meaningful exchange in English.
