8月23日（火）に、江別第一中学校で、「江別市の国際交流について」の出前講座を行いました。今回は、「江別を知ろう」という一年生の総合学習の中で行ったもので、私と生涯学習課の職員が江別市のまちづくりビジョンや国際交流の目的について説明し、江別市の様々な国際交流活動の事例を紹介しました。最後に、生徒全員でこれからの江別市の国際交流について話し合いました。生徒達は今後それぞれのクラスで今回学んだ内容をもとにした発表を行うとのことです。生徒達に江別市の国際交流について知ってもらえた貴重な時間でした。

Hello everyone! This is Ebetsu City CIR, Krystal Sato!

On Tuesday, August 23, my colleague from the Lifelong Learning Department and I gave a presentation at Ebetsu Daiichi Junior High School about international exchange in Ebetsu. The first year students are learning about Ebetsu in their integrated studies class, so we talked about community building and the goals of international exchange in Ebetsu, as well as concrete examples of Ebetsu's various exchange activities. After the presentation, the students had group discussions about the future of international exchange in Ebetsu. The students will be giving presentations about Ebetsu based on what they learned, so this was a valuable time for them to learn all about international exchange in Ebetsu.
